Mark Your Calendar: Hello, How Are You? Day Returns on May 15th, 2025!

We are excited to announce that Hello, How Are You? Day is back on Thursday, May 15th, 2025! This annual campaign, led by Mental Health Ireland, encourages meaningful conversations and reminds us of the power of a simple question: “Hello, how are you?”

Why It Matters

Talking about mental health can be difficult, but starting a conversation doesn’t have to be. Many people struggle in silence, and a friendly check-in can make a world of difference. Hello, How Are You? is all about breaking the ice, reducing stigma, and fostering connections that support mental well-being in our communities.

How to Get Involved

On May 15th, we invite everyone—schools, workplaces, community groups, and individuals—to take part by:

Sparking Conversations – Simply ask, “Hello, how are you?” and genuinely listen to the response.

Hosting an Event – Organise a coffee morning, lunch-and-learn session, or social gathering to encourage open conversations.

Spreading the Word – Share the message on social media using #HelloHowAreYou and encourage others to join the movement.

Checking In – Reach out to a friend, family member, or colleague who might need support.

Mental Health Ireland provides free resources, conversation cards, and event toolkits to help you take part in the campaign. Whether you’re looking for posters, conversation starters, or ideas to get involved, you’ll find everything you need on our website: hellohowareyou.info
